ShushCon 2026

ShushCon26 runs March 20-22, 2026 at the Waccamaw Neck Branch Library in Pawleys Island SC.

It is tough to believe we ran our first ShushCon in 2016, a decade ago, and every year is more exciting than the last. This year we hope to have more exciting games, crafts, and giveaways than ever before!

Registration for ShushCon26 is open now, and game submissions should open in Mid October. Folks who pre register for the event will get a special token of appreciation and be entered in a drawing for a customized laser cut book box. One book to be given out each day.

Any proceeds from people not using the code for checkout will be used to support ShushCon, buy snacks for the staff or volunteers during the event, or expand the games library at the Waccamaw Neck Branch Library. But please use the code, so we don't have to do extra paperwork.

If you would like to make donations to ShushCon, or the Friends of the Waccamaw Library (FOWL), you may do so by visiting the FOWL store or donating at the snack station during the convention.

ShushCon Seminar - Games and Lasers

Friday, March 20, 2026 9:00am - 1:00pm

The Georgetown County Library has had new additions to our laser family, and we will be showing off how to utilize our new lasers for a variety of fast and easy projects. You will even be able to take home your own custom dice.

We also have a few RPGs that seem to be very well suited for libraries, after school programs, and social groups. Some of the games we'll be sharing include Discworld: Adventures in Ankh-Morpork, Triangle Agency, and the Land of Eem.

Our training workshop is open to everyone, but is geared towards sharing information with teachers, librarians, and other out of school time professionals.

Friday Presentations will be over by 1pm, but related activities will continue to be available throughout the convention.
