Nephilim: The Forsaken (Prototype)
Try out the newest game in it's debut playtest by Patrick Buckendorf. This game uses the brand new Power/Expertise Engine to drive it's mechanics.
In Nephilim: The Forsaken, players are in a Modern Setting and take on the roles of Angel and Demon blooded Humans who have inherited certain powers from their ancestors. They are hunted down by agents of Heaven and Hell who seek to rid the world of these mistakes. Band together into a group and do what you can to survive this harsh world where it seems everyone and everything wants to see you dead. The Power/Expertise system is a Dice Pool system in which increased mastery comes in two forms, smaller dice (IE easier successes) and larger pools giving you more chances to earn successes on those dice. Use your Abilities, Techniques and Maneuvers in this Skill Based game system to overcome challenges and live to fight another day.
