Convention Code of Conduct
Purpose
Our convention is committed to creating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for everyone who attends. This Code of Conduct outlines expectations for behavior so all participants can enjoy tabletop gaming in a positive and respectful community setting.
This Code applies to all attendees, exhibitors, volunteers, staff, special guests, and venue personnel participating in convention activities.
Expected Behavior
Participants are expected to:
- Treat others with kindness, respect, and courtesy
- Be inclusive and welcoming to gamers of all backgrounds and experience levels
- Respect personal space and boundaries
- Follow all posted event, tournament, and room-specific rules
- Wear appropriate attire for a public, family-friendly event
- Comply with instructions from convention staff and volunteers
- Respect shared gaming materials, vendor merchandise, and venue property
Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are not permitted:
- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind
- Unwanted physical contact or inappropriate attention
- Disruptive behavior that interferes with events or gameplay
- Offensive language, imagery, or conduct inappropriate for a public convention
- Damage to property belonging to the venue, vendors, or attendees
- Theft or misuse of convention materials or equipment
- Excessive intoxication or unsafe conduct
- Recording or photographing individuals after they request not to be recorded
These examples are not exhaustive. Convention staff may address other behavior that negatively impacts the community experience.
Hygiene and Shared Spaces
Because tabletop gaming involves close shared play areas:
- Maintain reasonable personal hygiene
- Keep food and drinks away from game components unless permitted
- Clean up your play area after use
- Follow all venue rules regarding safety and cleanliness
Inclusivity and Accessibility
We are committed to maintaining a convention environment that is welcoming to players of all identities and experience levels.
Participants should:
- Support new players and learners
- Respect pronouns and names
- Avoid gatekeeping behavior
- Help create an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable joining a game
Vendor and Exhibit Hall Expectations
When interacting with vendors and exhibitors:
- Handle merchandise respectfully
- Follow booth-specific policies
- Ask permission before photographing displays or products
- Respect queue lines and purchasing procedures
Children and Families
This convention welcomes families. Parents and guardians remain responsible for the supervision and behavior of minors attending with them.
Some events may have age recommendations or restrictions.
Reporting Concerns
If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct:
- Contact convention staff or a volunteer immediately
- Visit the registration desk or information desk
Reports will be handled respectfully and confidentially whenever possible.
Enforcement
Convention organizers reserve the right to take appropriate action in response to violations of this Code of Conduct. Actions may include:
- Verbal warnings
- Removal from an activity or event
- Revocation of convention badge without refund
- Removal from the venue
- Referral to venue security or local authorities when appropriate

A Shared Community Responsibility
Everyone attending the convention contributes to the atmosphere of the event. By participating, you agree to help create a respectful, welcoming space where people can gather to enjoy tabletop gaming together.
