With the rise of online events, the Protospiel Denver team has taken the opportunity to create a way to bring the best things about the in-person Protospiel experience to the virtual tabletop.
We use a private, customized Discord server as our place to gather.
We recommend browsing the resources on our help building page to speed up the process of learning and building in a variety of digital prototyping platforms.
There are no scheduled events over Protspiel Online weekends. Instead, we have a "Looking for a Game" (LFG) Voice channel with 24 hour moderator support. Designers use our customized "Players Wanted" post and response system to highlight their prototypes and attract testers. Moderators help match playtesters to prototypes real-time and provide tech support when needed.
As with in-person Protospiels, the focus is on designers trading playtests with one another. Designers aim to give approximately as much playtesting as they receive from the group (If 4 people play your game for 1 hour, try to spend 4 hours playing others' games.)
Visit our official website for full details. You can also sign up for event announcements to be the first to know when badges for a new Protospiel Online event go on sale.
