To mark the 50th anniversary of the creation of Bunnies & Burrows, this tournament is based on the 3rd edition of B&B (2019) and will feature an update to a tournament originally written for GenCon in the 1970s. The Tournament consists of several 4-hour game sessions ("Teams") with chairs for 6 players in each. Each session is identical, so sign up for only one Team! Pregens are available and each game will begin with an introduction to Bunnies & Burrows, so no prior experience is necessary. Prizes will be awarded for best team and best individual player.
Greenpasture warren was enjoying the peaceful days of early summer, until an inexplicable disaster occurred. One of the older bucks was killed by a hawk in the pasture and didn't try to run. Several does in the warren suddenly lost their pregnancies. Several of the rabbits have developed an odd tilt to their heads. The elders decided that the warren was stricken by a strange disease and a cure must be found.
A search party was sent into Flaming Rock Gorge to search for healing herbs. The Gorge is almost legendary, and many elil (predators) hunt there. But it also is reputed to be the best place to find powerful herbs. The party set out yesterday, but early this morning one of the Bucks leading the party returned, alone. He was badly mauled and reported that they had found many herbs, but then were attacked by other rabbits in the Gorge. The others may be lost, captured, or dead.
The need of the Warren remains dire. Now you must go into Flaming Rock Gorge to complete the quest. You must find healing herbs to save your warren from a terrible disease, and save the rabbits that were lost or captured if possible.
