I’m Francesco Farabi, art director and curator of Kimera Kolors, brush designer, and part of its creative team for almost 10 years. I’ve been painting miniatures for over 25 years, and for the last 15 years, I’ve been traveling the world teaching and sharing my experience with fellow miniature enthusiasts.

But this time, it’s something special. For the first time at NOVA Open, I’m bringing an exclusive version of my Masterclass, and I’ll be joined by Riccardo Agostini.

Riccardo is someone I’m incredibly proud of—he started as my student years ago, but today, he’s a colleague and an exceptional artist, with a long list of international awards and a reputation as a top-level instructor. Together, we want to offer you a unique learning experience, with even more personal guidance and hands-on support.

What will we do in these two days? We’ll be painting together, step by step, as you work on a miniature of your choice from three specially selected Kimera Models figures. Throughout the process, we’ll explore key aspects of miniature painting, including:

Lifelike skin tones and expressive faces Realistic fabrics and textures Metal Non Metal (NMM) and material rendering Volume, detail, and visual coherence

Each student will choose one of the three models, and we’ll apply these techniques across all of them.

Students should bring their own brushes, all other supplies provided.
