A bust is a portrait of a character in a moment of time. In this hands-on workshop, we will explore character and storytelling considerations that inform upon our painting choices: color, lighting, composition, facial expression, materials, ambiance, freehand, details, etc.
This workshop is aimed for intermediate painters and up. The class model, a bust that lends itself to some interpretation, will be provided.
Please bring your go-to brushes (including a larger #2-#4 size brush and a #1 or smaller for finer details) and your go-to colors. Also, convention-style wet palettes are available, but feel free to bring your own.
