Introducing our NecronomiCon Providence 2024 Gaming Guest of Honor: MIKE MASON!

Mike Mason is an award-winning game writer, designer, and the creative director for the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game at Chaosium. Mike is the co-writer of Call of Cthulhu 7th edition, Pulp Cthulhu, Malleus Monstrorum (2nd edition), the revised Masks of Nyarlathotep, and most recently the Arkham sourcebook. Mike previously worked for Games Workshop, co-writing the award-winning Warhammer 40,000 RPG: Dark Heresy. Mike has always loved horror films and stories. He also writes horror and weird fiction for Mason and Fricker’s Eldritch Stories podcast with his co-host Paul Fricker. Mike lives in the Midlands of England, betwixt the rolling Derbyshire Peaks and the Satanic Mills of Nottinghamshire.

GAMING UPDATE

We have some exciting gaming programming coming to you this August! Keep an eye here on our event page, on the NecronomiCon Providence Gaming Facebook and on the NecronomiCon Providence Discord pages for more announcements as we get ready to delve deeper into madness!

Player registration will be going live on July 15th at 5:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time.

Game submissions will be accepted through the convention. However, we cannot guarantee any late submissions being added to the printed schedule, but will do our best to add signage to high traffic convention areas. Pick up games are welcome and encouraged!

13AUG2024 UPDATE!!!!! Hi Everyone! We are days away from NecronomiCon Providence 2024 and I can’t wait to go completely mad with all of you! Here’s some housekeeping information for everyone running games and/or gaming events & workshops: • My cell number is 774-526-6445 if you need anything either text or call. • Registration is open for the following hours at the Graduate Hotel on the 2nd floor landing: o Thursday August 15th: 12:00 Noon – 5:00 PM. o Friday August 16th: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. o Saturday August 17th: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. o Sunday August 18th: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. • If you are planning on arriving before/after registration opens/closes and are running a game, please let me know and I will make arrangements to ensure you have access to what you need. • Please check in at the Minion station on the 18th floor before your first game to receive your GM/Keeper packet and let us know you’re here! • Water stations will be on both floors and refilled constantly. If you see that the water is low, please let a Minion know and we will alert hotel staff. Water bottles will be provided in the evenings by hotel staff at the same stations. • If you need anything locked safely away at night, please let me know and I will make sure it gets secured. • Elevators will stop going up to the 17th & 18th floors at midnight each night, but people will be able to go down when their games are finished.
