About Us

Midwest GameFest is an annual four-day tabletop hobby game convention held each Fall in the Kansas City area. Come enjoy role-playing games, historical miniatures, board games, card games, organized play, cosplay, workshops, game designers, dealers, benefit events, a used game sale and more! Midwest GameFest is organized and funded by the Role-Players Guild of Kansas City.

Back In Person for 2022

Midwest GameFest takes our responsibility to public health and safety very seriously. We'll be following local and CDC guidance on event protocols. Right now there is no mask or vaccine requirement for attendees.

Expect the following precautions this Fall:

• Mask recommended but not required (CDC-approved masks available at no cost)
• Entry prohibited to those who are ill
• Hand sanitizer stations throughout the venue
• Acrylic screens at volunteer stations
• No vaccination requirement, but volunteers, GMs, exhibitors, and attendees are heavily encouraged to be vaccinated.

We feature board games, card games, historical and other miniatures wargaming, and role-playing games of all sorts. You'll find cosplay contests, panels and workshops, one-off custom games, organized play events, tournaments, our storied Gamers Garage Sale, and our benefit raffle for Harvesters.

We host a range of gaming-related dealers and exhibitors from around the Midwest. You'll find both popular and hard-to-find games, gaming aids, art prints, hand-crafted goods, and gaming-themed clothing and accessories.

Volunteers

We offer great discounts for individuals and groups who can help out during the convention, and we have flexible volunteer hours to meet your schedule. You can even earn free admission just for helping out. Come out and be one of the crew!
