‘A Wee Problem’ is a light-hearted, adventurous micro-RPG intended to bring friends together, blow things up, and have a few laughs. It uses a deck of cards, two 6-sided dice, and a few coins to determine the outcomes of various actions during play. It is set in a near-future dystopian setting that draws on Scotch-Irish mythology and folklore to create a world where all the denizens of Annwn, The Underworld, have been thrust into a high-tech world, bringing magic back to the world with them. The Frivolous Battles began anew when the Fae Folk’s vim was scattered to and fro during the Alignment. Now, Leprechauns, Pixies, and all other manner of creature scramble to collect or recover their 'vim,' which has manifested as gold coins, and keys of Gold, Silver, and Black, marking their relation to the Seelie, Unseelie, and Eldar factions. Players take on the role of a Leprechaun or Pixie trying to collect and recover their vim. By any means necessary! “The whole o’ Faerie depends on it.” Of course, those who harbor the most vim find themselves imbued with power and stature among the Fae Court. Thus, the People find it difficult to cooperate altruistically to recover it. The best thing about ‘A Wee Problem’ is that, because it is set during the collision of the Fae World and the Material World, players can create scenes and campaigns in virtually any fantasy, modern, or science fiction setting, time, or realm. The boundaries of magic, time, and space are constantly in flux because of the ongoing collision, so players and Storytellers can take the story wherever they wish. Come learn how to play and have a few laughs!
