Like the popular video game series, Sid Meiers': Civilization? This has that same vibe, plus cool miniatures and a variety of point-earning systems that allow players to really play whatever style they want, be it expansive or tall, aggressive or peaceful, and still have a good shot at victory.

Mosaic: A Story of Civilization is an epic, civilization-building strategy board game by designer Glenn Drover and published by Forbidden Games, for 2-6 players, where you guide your civilization from humble beginnings to a powerful empire. Players use an innovative action-selection system to expand their society by growing population, researching technologies, constructing cities and wonders, and controlling regions to earn victory points. The game features unique leaders, a dynamic action system, and a focus on building your engine through cards, with the ultimate goal of scoring the most victory points before the third Empire scoring card ends the game.
We will be playing with the "Wars and Disasters" expansion, which adds naval units, new civilizations, new military actions, and unique wonders to the game.
This is video with an explanation of gameplay, though- have no fear - I will spend the first 15-20 minutes describing the gameplay and actions available while you pick your starting leader and civilization.
*Please note, the slot is 5 hours but may end early - victory can happen at widely variable times depending on the playstyle of the group! *
