Legends Fest is a multi-day celebration of gaming, esports, creativity, and community bringing together players, creators, students, developers, and fans of all ages under one roof. Whether you’re here to compete, learn, explore, or just have fun, Legends Fest offers something for everyone.
BYOL — Bring Your Own LAN Legends Fest features a Bring Your Own LAN (BYOL) experience for attendees who want to bring their own computers and game together in a dedicated LAN environment. A BYOL ticket is required in order to participate and to bring personal equipment into the event. Power, table, chair, and networking is provided to each ticket holder BYOL participants will have access to exclusive multiplayer experiences, including a Minecraft server and a Vintage Story server launched specifically for BYOL members. These servers are designed to encourage collaboration, community play, and shared adventures throughout the event.
BYOL attendees are welcome to stay extended hours in the LAN area until 1:00 AM on Friday, making it the perfect space for late-night gaming and community bonding. In addition, there will be draft tournaments and casual competitions for select games held throughout the event.

High School Esports Championship Friday March 20th Legends Fest proudly hosts a dedicated High School Esports Competition, Legends Cup, presented in partnership with the Texas Scholastic Esports Federation (TSEF). This officially sanctioned event serves as a state qualifier, giving student teams the opportunity to compete for advancement while experiencing esports in a professional, collegiate-style environment. Each title will feature 16 high school teams, competing in organized brackets throughout the event: • Marvel Rivals • Overwatch 2 • Mario Kart 8 • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Teams will compete in scheduled matches with live casting, structured rulesets, and on-site event staff to ensure a fair, fair-play–focused experience. This competition is open to eligible high school teams and emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development.
Collegiate Esports Open Tournament Saturday March 21st On Saturday, Legends Fest hosts a College Esports Open Tournament, welcoming collegiate teams to compete in an exciting, in-person competitive environment. This open tournament is designed to bring together colleges from across the region for a day of high-energy matches, community building, and live competition. The tournament will feature the following titles: • Marvel Rivals • Overwatch 2 • Mario Kart 8 • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
This is an open-entry collegiate tournament, allowing colleges of all sizes and competitive backgrounds to participate. Whether you are an established esports program or a newer team looking for live event experience, Legends Fest offers a fun, professional setting to test your skills and connect with other collegiate programs. Colleges are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this in-person competition opportunity, showcasing their teams, building rivalries, and engaging with the broader Esports and gaming community in a festival atmosphere.
Exhibition Show Floor The Legends Fest Exhibition Show Floor is a vibrant space dedicated to connection, discovery, and community within the gaming and esports world. This area brings together organizations and institutions that are shaping the present and future of gaming, esports, and interactive media. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with: • Charities connected to the gaming and esports industries • Local and regional gaming-related companies • Colleges and universities with esports and gaming programs • And more!

Attendees can explore educational pathways, discover community initiatives, learn about career options, and connect directly with people who are passionate about gaming and esports. Indie Game & Content Creator Showcase The Indie Game & Content Creator Showcase invites showgoers to experience the creative side of gaming and digital media. Attendees can demo a variety of indie games, explore unique mechanics and art styles, and discover new projects from independent developers. Alongside indie games, the content creator area highlights streamers, video creators, artists, and community voices from across the gaming space. Showgoers can engage with creators, learn about their creative process, and explore how gaming content is produced across platforms such as streaming, video, and social media.
This combined showcase offers a hands-on, interactive environment that celebrates creativity, innovation, and community — connecting players, creators, and aspiring professionals in one dynamic space.
One Page Rules Tabletop Tournament & Open Play Legends Fest is excited to host a One Page Rules Tabletop Tournament, giving showgoers the chance to participate in a fun, approachable tabletop wargaming experience. One Page Rules is known for its easy-to-learn ruleset, making it welcoming for both new and experienced tabletop players.
The tournament is free to join and open to all attendees, with on-site registration and a relaxed, festival-style format focused on fair play and community enjoyment.
In addition to the tournament, Legends Fest will provide dedicated open play space where attendees can bring their own One Page Rules armies or other board games to play casually throughout the event. This space is ideal for learning the game, running friendly matches, or simply enjoying tabletop gaming with friends.
Whether you’re new to tabletop wargaming or a longtime fan, the One Page Rules tournament and open play area offer an accessible and social way to be part of Legends Fest.
Game Jam — Hosted by Houston Game Dev Legends Fest is proud to host a Game Jam presented by Houston Game Dev, a community organization and member of the International Game Developers’ Association (IGDA). This event brings the excitement of live game creation directly to the convention floor, highlighting creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
The Game Jam is open to anyone who wants to compete, regardless of experience level. For attendees who prefer to watch, the Game Jam offers a unique behind-the-scenes look at how games are made, with teams working live throughout the event.
At the conclusion of the Game Jam, participants will present their games, giving attendees the opportunity to see the final results, learn about the creative process, and celebrate the work produced during the event. Whether you’re building a game or observing the process, the Houston Game Dev Game Jam is an exciting way to experience game development in action at Legends Fest.
Educational Seminars & Panels Legends Fest features a full schedule of educational seminars and panel discussions focused on Esports and the gaming industry. These sessions are designed to inform, inspire, and spark conversation, offering valuable insights for players, students, educators, creators, and industry professionals alike.
Topics will span a wide range of subjects within esports and gaming, including competitive pathways, production and broadcasting, game development, content creation, business and management, and career opportunities across the industry. Sessions will feature knowledgeable speakers from education, industry, and the gaming community.
All seminars and panels are open to all Legends Fest attendees and will be running throughout the day on both Friday and Saturday, allowing guests to drop in, explore different topics, and learn at their own pace.

Food & Meals Legends Fest will feature local food trucks on-site, offering a variety of meal options for attendees throughout the event. These food trucks provide a convenient way to grab meals and snacks without leaving the festival.
