Tonight, New Orleans plays host to a gathering of arcane denizens. Amid the opulent surroundings and heavy security of the Aces Wild Casino, items of great and terrible mystic power will change hands. You can purchase knowledge, vengeance, or even immortality...But can you afford the price?

Aces Wild is an original parlor LARP written by Theatre Arcanos and set in the world of Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files. It takes place before Harry Dresden’s birth and features 20 non-canonical pre-generated characters. Knowledge of the source material is useful, but not essential.

This event is past the point where ticket sales are permitted.New Orleans, 1948. In the wake of the War, tensions and paranoia are running wild. The mortals are aware of the horrors perpetrated by Hitler’s Third Reich. Most of them don’t know about Kemmler the Necromancer, and that many of the War’s worst atrocities can be traced to his influence. Kemmler vanished in 1945, but since the White Council of Wizards already killed him once back in 1890, few are confident he’s gone for good. Since the war, the Wardens of the White Council have been on a hair trigger, quick to carry out field executions for those accused of violations of the Laws of Magic (particularly anyone suspected of being one of Kemmler’s students) while destroying any and all copies of Kemmler’s books with unholy fervor.
For twenty years, the web of alliances created by the Treaty of New Orleans has made the Crescent City itself a neutral zone where supernatural factions can interact in relative safety. There have been occasional skirmishes, and certainly rancor between factions, but the Treaty has held. Despite being a mortal, Michael Rossi has continued to distinguish himself as a leader among supernatural circles, as well as in the realms of organized crime.
Tonight, Rossi plays host to a select arcane audience. Heavy security, opulent surroundings, and designation as Neutral Ground make the Aces Wild Casino a perfect venue for a mystical auction. Items of great and terrible mystic power are set to change hands. You can purchase knowledge, vengeance, or even immortality. Do you dare to seize your heart’s desire? And can you afford the price?
