HoliCON is here again!

Join us for 12 hours of tabletop gaming fun. HoliCON is a day for us to celebrate our love of board games, get together with friends (old and new) and play some great games.

For 2019, we're back at the Ocala Hilton, located at 3600 SW 36th Ave, Ocala, FL 34474, from 10am – 10pm. You can come anytime, play a few games, drop in and out, or stay for the whole day. A library of 150+ games will be available to play. There will be games available for purchase as well.

We’ll be posting on social media all day. We hope you’ll tag us with @MeepleMovers and use the hashtag #holicon2019.

FAQ

What’s the cost for the event? There’s a per person charge, plus a small administrative fee with Tabletop.Events for processing. See pricing below. Click on the green "Buy Badges" button in the upper right page. Early registration is recommended to get first choice for events. ;)

  • Early Bird Registration through October 31 -------------- $15
  • Regular Registration November 1 - November 30 ----- $20
  • Walk-in Registration (if available) -------------------------- $25

Are badges/tickets available at the door? We recommend purchasing badges in advance, as space is limited and we cannot guarantee badges will be available at the door. Badges may not be transferred or re-sold.

Do I need to bring a receipt to the event? Nope. Please bring your picture ID. Badges will be issued at the door.

How does this work? Games will be set up all day – from light-weight easy games, to the ultra-strategic, competitive, and longer heavy-weight games.

Will there be giveaways or play-and-win events?

  • We are in talks with several publishers about sponsoring the event - including the possibility of Play & Win games, giveaways and promos.
  • Paint & Take: There will be a two-hour event for miniature painting, that includes all materials for $10 per person. Seating is limited to 8. Get your ticket fast.
  • New this year, attendees can submit their own events. Looking to play or demo your favorite game? Excited about playing an RPG? Marathon Pictionary, anyone? Got a special ‘arts and crafts’ project you want to teach others? This event is about you. Once you have your badge, click the big Submit Events button on the right.   • Our infamous trivia will be back and there will be giveaways - be prepared to laugh and be stumped!

What will be played? We will be bringing 150+ games to play. Don’t worry – there will be teachers available all day! We’ll also have oversized-sized games such as Jenga and River Dragons set up! Attendees are welcome to bring their own games. If you have a specific larger game you want host, submit your event. As always, remember we’re in a public place, so keep the games appropriate.

New to the Group? This is a perfect step in the board gaming world. Don’t sweat it – just come as you are – and we’ll get you plugged in and having fun in no time.

What’s the Food Situation? There is a Café at the hotel that includes a bar. If nothing suits you, there are several restaurants nearby. We ask that food not be brought into the game rooms. Outside food is not allowed by the hotel. Drinks purchased on property are allowed in the gaming area, but please be careful around the games.

Can I help? Yes! We need volunteers to help with Registration throughout the day. Registered volunteers that help for 2 hours will receive a $15 Meeple Movers gift certificate. If you’re interested please sign up.

What if I want to stay at the hotel? We’re expecting our normal discounted rate. Information as we get it here and on Facebook.

What's the attire? We're casual gamers - so dress comfortably. Please note the room may be chilly, so you may want to bring a jacket or a sweater.

Are there age requirements? All children under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Due to the limited space of this event, children under 6 are not allowed, sorry.
