HMGS-PSW presents Mini-Wars 2021

We are a society of social tabletop gamers that get together with friends. The Pacific Southwest chapter has been active for decades. Not surprisingly, this last year has been a challenge for us. We are gearing up for Mini-Wars 2021 on October 9th and 10th at California State University Fullerton. At that event we will announce the winners of our election and the winners of our History Essay Contest. There will be six tournaments and over a dozen stand along games over the weekend. COVID-19 Restrictions CSUF is State of California property. As such, the restrictions are different than the rest of Orange County. All volunteers and attendees at Mini-Wars 2021 need to wear a mask whether they are vaccinated or not. Table Top Events was recommended to us by the guys in Arizona. The software interface is meshed with the Stripe service which handles the credit card transactions. This is our first year using Table Top Events so please report any bugs to Harmon Ward at the numbers or email address in the footer below. If you look up their website you will see that TTE is used by a number of other HMGS regions so we are in good company. Pre-Registration means your badge will be waiting for you at the reception desk in the Atrium inside so you can bypass the box office. This means we need fewer volunteers to give up their game time to type badge information into the system. The first step is to create a Table Top Events account. You will not need to do that again for the next convention. Please save you login information and password. Here are a few instructions on how to navigate this interface. Buy your attendance badge and register for your games online to save time during your convention weekend! 01.) Familiarize yourself with the information on this Index Page. 02.) Click on the green button that says "Buy Badges". 03.) Click on the button of the badge type that you want. 04.) Fill in the fields under the "Buy this Badge" title. 05.) Once your badge is added to the Cart, click on the green button to the right labeled "Buy Tickets". 06.) There are four pages of offerings over two days. You can sign up for no more than 4 tickets, and the system will not allow you to sign up for games that start at the same time. 07.) Click the green "Get" button to the left of the game or seminar. 08.) Confirm this purchase by clicking on the "Get Ticket For (Your Name)" and watch it appear underneath in your cart. 09.) There is a new button called "Buy More Tickets" that you can use to make additional choices. 10.) After you have purchased all of your game or seminar tickets, click Home in the upper left corner of the page. 11.) At this point you can click Cart to the right of the Home button or click "Buy Merch" to buy some merchandise, like a shirt or opportunity drawing tickets. 12.) Similar to the Badge Purchase, this is a two step process, click on what you want and then confirm it by clicking on the green "Add to Cart for (Your Name). 13.) When you add your opportunity drawing tickets, click on the "Add to Cart" button multiple times to buy more than one $1 ticket. 14.) If at any time during this process you do multiple things, like buy a lot of tickets, a light green bar will show on the right indicating that. That shows the computer is working. Wait for those to fade before you proceed. 15.) When done, click "Checkout" 16.) Fill in your Credit Card info and now you can bypass the box office at the convention and head straight to the Reception Desk.
