If you're new to Geekway to the West events, A Geek Guide is a person that helps us run the show! You can assist with badge registration at the HQ table or game check-in and check-out at the Library and Play and Win areas!
Welcome! I’m excited for you - the conventions genuinely are magical. We’re way into creating a safe, fun environment for y’all to play games pretty much nonstop for 3-4 days.
You should know that we couldn’t keep the chocolate factory running without a little help from our friends. From setting up/tearing down to checking in/out games from our two gaming libraries, a Geek Guide shift is 2 hours of pure joy.
As you may know, we’ve transitioned ticketing from Eventbrite to Tabletop (dot) Events (TT.E). We’ll be using that for Geek Guide registrations, too; and, while we’ve used it for both ticketing Geekway patrons and Geekway Mini badges, this is our first time using it for Geek Guides, so we hope you’ll be gentle (and, of course, patient, as we work out any kinks). As always, you need a Geekway badge to volunteer at Geekway. If you can't sign up for shifts, make sure you are logged in to your account!
