First Player Championship 2019

The First Player Championship is the longest running non-Fantasy Flight Games organized premiere event for A Game of Thrones in the Midwest United States.

Beginning roughly ten years ago, Meta-Games Unlimited has been supporting the A Game of Thrones community with a huge weekend of gaming goodness. Whether it's an official's recognized Regional event or a community lead championship, this weekend has been a hub of activity for one of the most storied playgroups around. Additionally, it's been the only non-FFG ran tournament weekend to consistently feature both a joust (1 on 1) and melee (multiplayer) tournament.

Two years ago, the event settled on the new First Player Championship moniker and we're proud to continue that with the 2019 event.

Tournament Tier-

• This will be a Formal Tier event.
• All products are legal upon their official release.

Banned/Restricted-

• We will be utilizing official FFG FAQs including any relevant Bans, Errata, and Restrictions for both Joust and Melee. Current documents can be found here: FFG Organized Play Support

Events-

• Friday Night - Cookout : 6 PM
• Saturday - Joust : Reg - 10 AM, Start - 11 AM
• Sunday - Melee : Reg - 10 AM, Start - 11 AM

Registration- Highly recommended to pre-register, but on site registration will be available for $18 per event.

Lodging- Various lodging options are available at the next exit down HWY 65 (Battlefield Rd). Below are several with availability for the weekend.
