Welcome to The Parish on Broadway
Located in an historic building, we are walking distance to the Stanley, the Aud, and all of the other diverse amenities in Downtown Utica. We offer newly renovated rooms, two of which are large and one extra-large with a stage. We also provide a full service commercial kitchen, handicapped accessibility and ample parking.
The First Annual Equal Opportunity GeekCon will be held at the historic Parish on Broadway, October 12-13, 2019. EO GeekCon has been created for the sole purpose of having a safe and welcoming place for people of all ages, genders, races and ethnicities to come together to share our love of gaming of all kinds! We will feature a large game library thanks to Wanna Play Cafe, an open gaming area, a variety of table top role playing games, a Live Acton Role Play, a selection of food trucks, charity bake sale/snack table, vendors, "Play and Win" table, Charity Basket raffle, Cosplay contests and discussion panels!
A large portion of all proceeds of Equal Opportunity GeekCon will be donated to the Utica Public Library and Extra Life, a grassroots organization that unites thousands of gamers around the world to play games in support of their local Children's Miracle Network Hospital.
Equal Opportunity Geeks is thrilled to welcome Wanna Play Cafe, the area's only board game cafe, who will be providing us with a large game library! The library is open to all attendees for the duration of the show, so come find a new game or play an old favorite!
The library and open gaming space will be available starting 10am Saturday morning until the con is over on Sunday at 5pm. Please note that checkout of games will stop at 4pm on Sunday even though you can play one you've already checked out until 5pm.

We will have a selection of games that attendees can play to win that copy of the game at the end of the show. Simply visit the Game Library and ask about the play-to-win titles to see what's available and get in a game. Each of these games will be given away to a randomly selected person who played that copy of the game during the show. They will be given away at 4pm on Sunday in the Main Room.

** In addition to open gaming tables, the Main Room will also be home to Vendors, Artists and Authors as well as the Cosplay Contests!
