Battle of Geronium – 217 BC

Hannibal has crossed the Italian Alps and is marching through Samnium. Meanwhile a Roman army under Council Marcus Minucius Rufus marches to oppose him. After skirmishing back and forth for most of the summer, the two armies form up for battle. Will the Roman’s stop Hannibal or just end up with another disastrous battle against the Carthaginians.
