Erik Garland retired in 2023 from his tenure as Chief Information Officer for a small healthcare group in Kentucky. A professional firearms instructor and ARMY veteran, he carefully concealed a secret identity as a lifelong enthusiast of comic books, fantasy and science fiction media, and table-top role playing games.
With his wife, Heidi, Erik has co-authored 9 adventure modules, is the co-creator of Dragon Derby: The Sport of Wizards, co-owner of GAXLAND, co-founder of EGG Con and the E.Gary Gygax Memorial Scholarship, devoted husband and full-time dad to two daughters, Amelie and Zoe. Dog Thor (a 127 lb Meth Lab/Great Pyrenees), Dog Hades (16 lbs of demanding manipulative teddybear) and Mittens the cat also deserve (no, they demanded) to be mentioned.
