Rules

  1. All DragonFall weekend badge holders receive ONE FREE entry into the Painting Exposition. You may enter one piece into each of the following categories: Single Figure, Bust, Squad, Diorama, Scale Model/Vehicles and Beasts, and Army. Your first entry is free with your badge; each additional entry (up to one per remaining category) is $5.

  2. In the event of any dispute, the sum liability of DragonFall, its sponsors and vendors, to any entrant shall be whatever the entrant paid to DragonFall for the painting competition.

  3. All entries must be submitted in person, by the entrant, before 8 PM on Saturday October 3rd. Entry registration will be at the glass case within the Forum. Entries can start to be dropped off as early as Friday afternoon.

  4. Awards will be announced at 3 PM Sunday.

  5. A DragonFall Weekend Badge is required to submit entries. Single day badges are not eligible. The thought process is simple for this requirement, you must submit your entry on Friday or Saturday and winners are announced on Sunday.

  6. Entrants are responsible for the transportation of entries to and from the competition. No storage space for transportation materials will be provided. Entrants must pick up entries on Sunday, Oct. 4th by 5 PM or risk the entry getting packed up and returned at next year's DragonFall.

  7. Only one person may be listed and credited as the entrant on any of the joint effort entries. While painters may work on original sculpts or conversions by other artists, and more than one artist may contribute to an entry if desired, there will be no co-credit given or division or duplication of prizes.

  8. Entrants must remain available for judging, queries, and prize awards during the competition.

  9. Entrants agree to provide all entries at their own risk to DragonFall, for the duration of the competition for the purposes of display, photography, and judging.

  10. DragonFall has the rights to all images of the entries at our events, and your entry may be used in promotional materials for our Charity Convention in the future.

  11. DragonFall accepts no responsibility for damage to or loss of entries during the competition.

  12. Note about Army Submissions. Army entries must be a force that was played in an event at DragonFall. All Army Category Entries will be judged on Saturday evening. To participate, please leave your army on the table of your last game with the owner's contact name and information. Dioramas are highly encouraged, but please do not bring those large displays in UNTIL AFTER your last game. Your Event judges will have additional information related to when your army will be judged and when you can pack up. Event is locked on Saturday night, but we highly encourage you to take your army with you after judging.

  13. Awards format: We will not be issuing gold, silver, or copper placements by category this year. Instead, judges will recognize the pieces they deem worthy, for any reason they see fit. Every recognized piece is eligible for our Best in Show award, the DragonSlayer Axe. Recognized entries will each receive an award coin at random — the coin's color carries no meaning as to the piece's placement or status.

  14. All rules above are subject to change without notice.
