D&D Live 2019: General FAQ


  1. What is the location of the event? The event will take place at Line 204 Studios, 1034 Seward St, Los Angeles, CA 90038.
  2. What can you tell me about parking during D&D Live 2019: The Descent? There is no parking available directly on site at Line 204 Studios. There is a parking deck one block away at 6626 Romaine Street, LA 90038 which will have space available throughout the weekend. The charge for parking is around $13 per day.
  3. What do I need to enter D&D Live 2019? You will need to present your badge purchase information and a valid form of photo ID in order to be checked-in to enter D&D Live 2019.
  4. Will it be possible to leave and re-enter D&D Live 2019: The Descent? Yes, once you are checked in and receive your badge credentials, you will be able to leave and re-enter the event as long as you can display your credentials to security.
  5. Will there be food and beverage available at the event? Yes, there will be food and beverage available for purchase from a selection of food trucks at the event with options for vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free. We will provide bottles of water for all attendees!
  6. What ages is D&D Live 2019: The Descent appropriate for? Due to adults using adult language, D&D will not be allowing any individual under the age of 18 to enter D&D Live 2019: The Descent. During some of the performances, alcohol will be served, and a valid ID will be necessary to purchase and/or consume alcohol.
  7. What is the code of conduct for the event? When will it be posted? We are working on a code of conduct policy and will post a link to it here when it is complete.
  8. If I am attending D&D Live 2019 in person, what groups will I be able to watch streaming? On May 17 @ 6pm PT & May 18 @ 5pm PT, 3-day badge-holders will be in the studio audience to watch live D&D entertainment from some of D&D’s most high-profile entertainers. On May 18 & 19, many groups and other creators will be streaming from the mini-studios, which occupy too small of a space to accommodate an audience. You will be able to view them as they create, but not as a seated audience member.

Badges and ticketing FAQ

  1. Will there be single-day badges? We are looking into the possibility of offering 1-day badges for D&D Live 2019: The Descent but at this time only 3-day badges are available.
  2. Do I have to sign up for a D&D Epic session right away? D&D recommends you sign up for your desired slot for the D&D Epic as soon as possible to help the organizers manage logistics. You will have the ability to change your session, say, when the schedules for signings are announced to alleviate conflicts but D&D prefers to keep such rescheduling to a minimum. All schedules and sessions are final at 12am PT Tuesday May 14.
  3. What other events will I be able to sign up for later? We will be communicating a schedule for attending signings/meet&greets with many of the talent, partners, and D&D team members at the event. These events will be ticketed so as to manage crowd flow but will not have an additional cost associated with them.
  4. How do I find out about new events added? When the schedule for signings or other events are added, that will be communicated on the D&D website (dnd.wizards.com/dndlive2019), on D&D social media platforms including D&D Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, and on Twitch during D&D News Tuesdays at 3pm PT, during Dragon+ Weds. at 1pm PT, and on Dragon Talk recordings on Fridays 12pm PT on twitch.tv/dnd.
  5. What is your refund policy? You will be able to refund your badge up until 12am PT Tuesday, May 14.
  6. What if I find out I have a schedule conflict with the D&D Epic I chose with my 3-day badge? Can I get a refund or swap for another slot? You will have the ability to change your session, say, when the schedules for signings are announced to alleviate conflicts but D&D prefers to keep such alterations at a minimum. All schedules and sessions are final at 12am PT Tuesday, May 14. You will be able to refund your badge up until 12am PT Tuesday, May 14.

D&D Epic FAQ

  2. What should I bring with me for the D&D Epic? What experience with D&D or Adventurers League is necessary to enjoy the D&D Epic at D&D Live 2019: The Descent? Absolutely no experience is necessary to play in a session of the D&D Epic! You can select from one of the pre-made characters Dungeon Masters will have available, or you can bring your D&D Adventurers League character [Tier 1 (levels 1-4) or Tier 2 (levels 5-10) is acceptable]. Dice and pencils will be available for use, but feel free to bring your own or use accessories you’ve purchased at the event from a vendor in the marketplace!
