Desert Hotdrop '26

Hello MechWarriors and welcome back to the Wild, Wild West! We return for another fun weekend amidst the bright lights of the Game World... I mean Game City. Lady Luck shines on some dice and dunks on others, but who will emerge victorious when victory is on the line? Are you going to be the one standing at the end of the battle, or looking up from the remains of your beautiful force that your opponent has callously dismantled? Is it honor you seek, or just a quick buck to patch up your heirloom units? All can be found at Desert Hotdrop '26!

This is the second year of Desert Hotdrop and we are very excited for another Battletech-focused event where fans in "The West" can gather together to spend a weekend playing and enjoying each other's company. This year, a variety of Classic Battletech and Alpha Strike games focused on the Dark Age Era will be available throughout the weekend, with additional social events and space available for pick-up games or just to hang out. It'll be three days of Battletech goodness, full of games, good times, and great people. Also, we'll be in Vegas, so don't forget to take some time off to go see the sights!

We will have enough space for 50-55 players at a time, from approximately 8:00a - 10:00p each day - so you'll have plenty of time to play your little hearts out! Here's a quick overview of some of the likely events (exact details and schedule being ironed out):

We'll have fantastic Alpha Strike games and tournaments, such as the Wolfnet AS350 Tournament, a narrative event based in Dark Age happenings, Conscripted Chaos, and the massive lore-based battle.

On the flip-side of the coin, we'll have awesome Classic Battletech games, including the returning 5k3U tournament, the list-building challenge of Battletech Through the Ages, an improved Campaign-in-a-Day, and various Hinterlands and Grinder options.

Planned social events include the Quick Paint Contest (was incredible last year), Battletech Family Feud, a Haiku Contest, and just plain hanging out. Having fun and getting to know your fellow Battletech enthusiasts is one of the main reasons we hold Desert Hotdrop!

Registration will be done here through Tabletop Events. You will be able to pay the registration fee and select your games/events. There is no cost for individual games/events, just the overall Desert Hotdrop registration, but you'll need to select tickets for your games when those open up.

The fee is intended to cover the cost of the meeting space, that's it. The more people that make it out, the better off we end up and the more that the event can grow.. so definitely invite your friends along for all the fun (or carefully kidnap them). There will also be an option to contribute towards swag and prizes when you pay the fee, but that is only if you want to.

We have a block of reserved rooms at the venue if that works for you. Information for those rooms is provided on the right side of this page.

Lot's more information to come, so make sure to link up with the organizers and other attendees by joining the event Discord (yes, yet another discord server ha ha, but it will only be used for event stuffs): Desert Hotdrop Discord (https://discord.gg/CJ9GbTDFb8)

It should be a weekend full of fun and yelling at your dice, so we hope to see YOU at Desert Hotdrop '26!
