It’s in our best interests, and our responsibility to keep CRIT HIT a friendly, open environment where every person is free to enjoy their attendance and express their love and enthusiasm for any and all forms of gaming. Together we can maintain CRIT HIT’s reputation for openness, inclusiveness, and mutual respect.
This means if you are talking trash about a system, a GM, an attendee, a vendor, a guest, or another convention. (psst, almost all of the con runners in Arizona all know each other) You will be given a warning. Upon 2nd violation, you'll be asked to leave without a refund.
CRIT HIT is an inclusive, 18+ event , and a safe and welcoming environment for anyone interested in games and gaming of all sorts, including related game clubs and communities. We expect all attendees to treat each other with common courtesy and respect. * CRIT HIT does not* permit harassment in regards to sex, gender, sexual orientation, dress, age, race, religion or lack thereof, disability, or involvement / non-involvement in any group or activity at any CRIT HIT event or venue.
Harassment includes any behavior that annoys, alarms, demeans, or threatens another person or group. Harassment includes (but is not limited to) verbal comments, the use of overly sexual imagery in public areas, intimidation, stalking, unauthorized photography or recording, inappropriate physical contact, unwanted sexual attention, and the disruption of events or activities. If someone asks you to stop or to leave them alone, do so immediately. Continuing contact with that person may be considered harassment.
If you feel you are being harassed, fear for your safety, or witness someone harassing others, contact a CRIT HIT staff member Crit Hit Security Volunteer (Crit Sec) immediately. All harassment reports will be investigated and dealt with thoroughly, with consequences including, but not limited to, the revocation of membership without refund, ejection from the site, or the involvement of local authorities.
with gaming happing in living room suite rooms, we are instituting the following policy:
No game suite will have the doors shut all the way, there will be at the minimum a doorstop of some kind keeping the door open from the outside of the suite without use of a key card DURING THE ENTIRE GAME TIME SLOT. This ensures that Crit Hit Security Volunteers (Crit Sec) can access the room at any time during a time slot when a game is run in the suite. Crit Sec will also conduct periodic checks by opening the door and visually looking in a room. This will be done quietly so as not to disturb the game. If you feel you need to leave with the Crit Sec volunteer TEXT 480-900-9190 and they they will escort you out to a common area.
If you feel that you are being discriminated against or harassed, or if you notice anyone behaving inappropriately (such as violating hotel or event policies), we respectfully suggest the following:
If you feel comfortable doing so, point out the inappropriate behavior to the person(s) involved. Often this will solve the problem immediately.
If you do not feel comfortable talking with the person(s) involved, or if talking to them does not resolve the issue, please report the situation immediately to any Crit Hit Security (Crit Sec) Volunteer, Area Manager or Crit Hit Staff Member.
Volunteer or Area Manager should be reported directly to an Crit Hit Staff Member.
Please provide a name, badge name and/or physical description of the person(s)
involved when reporting an event. Remember that we need information, so we can act on any unfortunate incidents during the event to make everyone’s experience a positive one!
While we are primarily concerned with preventing harassment in Crit Hit space during
the event , we will also respond to Crit HIt-related situations that might occur outside that space, for example in local shops, bars, restaurants, or on the street, or in online contexts.
