Covid-19 Policy

Based on the current advice from Hennepin County Public Health and with attendee safety squarely in sight, vaccines or a negative Covid test will be required to attend Con of the North 2023.

Further, proof of vaccine is required to pick up your badge at Preregistration or Registration to purchase a badge on site. The form of proof can be your vaccine card, a copy or image of it, showing a screen from a state sponsored app displaying your vaccine history, or a letter from a medical professional certifying that you are vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus.

For the negative Covid test requirement, a self administered or over the counter test is insufficient. To attend Con of the North if you are not vaccinated, you must produce a negative Laboratory or Rapid Point-of-Care test as defined by the CDC with a date within 72 hours of picking up their packet. During the convention, all attendees will be required to wear a mask in convention space when not actively eating or drinking. Children under the age of 2, per CDC guidelines, will not be required to wear a mask. Types of mask must meet the guidelines of CDC policies - Masks and Respirators

Finally, despite being vaccinated, if you are not feeling well at the time of the convention, please stay home and do not attend Con of the North. If you become ill in the week the convention starts, please notify us before Friday of the convention (2023-02-17) by noon central time by sending us an email at info@conofthenorth.org and we will refund per our Refund Policy.

For your information, symptoms of Covid -19 include:

• Fever or chills
• Cough
• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
• Fatigue
• Muscle or body aches
• Headache
• New loss of taste or smell
• Sore throat
• Congestion or runny nose
• Nausea or vomiting
• Diarrhea

Please understand that this is not an item for debate or negotiation. We are going to follow the advice and directions from the experts at Hennepin County Public Health. You have the option of not attending the convention physically, and instead attending virtually if you disagree with the policy. If you are planning on attending the convention you will need to follow all of the rules and conditions set forth in our policies.
