CabinCon 2026

The CabinCon Info Roundup

"All the info you need to be fully prepared for the awesomeness ahead of you at CabinCon! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask."

CabinCon begins on a Thursday at noon, and ends the following Sunday at 4:00 PM. We will have setup time on Thursday from 11:00 to noon, during which time you may arrive to set up your cabin or camping space, or to help us set up tables and chairs.

The check-in and registration table will be open Thursday from noon until 10:00 PM, Friday/Saturday from 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM, and Sunday from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM. You can arrive before or after those times, but you won’t be able to get your badge until the table opens.

Location:

Hiram House Camp, 33775 Hiram Trail, Chagrin Falls, OH 44022

Arrival and Parking:

When you arrive at the camp, you will see the main parking lot to your left as you pull in. There is limited parking down by Taylor Hall and there is no parking at the cabins. You can drive down to Taylor Hall to drop off games and gear, then return to the main lot to park. To find Taylor Hall from the parking lot, head down the hill and go past the bright red Fire House to the longest building you see; that’s Taylor Hall. Go in the door at the far left side to find the check in and registration table. If the main parking lot is full, ask at the registration table about overflow parking.

Food:

On Thursday we'll have a food truck on site! The food truck will be there for dinner from 6:00-7:00. Note that the food truck is not part of the meal plan; you will need to purchase from them directly.

If you purchased the meal plan (All-In Badge or a la carte with Build-Your-Own), please refer to the schedule below. Meals will be served for about 30 minutes starting at the times shown (with the exception of the Sunday Continental Breakfast, which will be out all morning). Keep in mind that the meal plan covers the Friday Pizza Party, Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and Sunday continental breakfast. The Friday and Saturday meals will be catered by Great Oaks Tavern.

For those seeking additional food options, there are a number of restaurants that deliver to the camp, and quite a few restaurants within easy driving distance if you want to go out for food. We also have access to kitchens and several refrigerators/freezers for people who want to bring their own food. Ask at check-in if you'd like to know where the fridges and/or kitchens are located.

Throughout the weekend we will have a large snack table that is open to all. There will be a "pay-what-you-like" jar for donations towards the snack expenses. You may also bring snacks that you'd like to share and set them out on the table.

Complimentary coffee and tea will be available throughout the weekend. There is also a water fountain/water bottle filler. Please consider bringing a refillable mug and/or water bottle to reduce the use of disposable cups.

Stuff to Bring

Additionally, if sleeping at the camp:

Tent Campers:

You are welcome to set up pretty much anywhere you see open space. This includes the grassy area within the cabin loop, as well as out in the woods, if that's what you prefer. At check-in you will be shown the location of the bathrooms/showers that you are welcome to use.

Camp Fires:

Hiram House Camp will provide any firewood needed. Please start fires only in the camp's permanent fire rings. We can show you where the fire rings are on request.

Weather:

There is always a chance of rain this time of year. As you will see on the map, there is some distance you'll have to walk outside between the parking lot and/or the cabins and the gaming hall. It is strongly recommended that you bring extra clothes, shoes, and an umbrella just in case.

Looking for Player Cones:

We'll have several bright red cones available to let the room know when someone is actively recruiting players for a game.

Cones should be set on the end of the table near the main aisle. It is also recommended to hang the box lid of the game on the cone.

Everyone should feel welcome to approach any table with a "Looking for Players Cone" on display and join the game.

Please be willing to teach new players when the cone is used to recruit.

Once a game starts, please return the cone to the front of the room so other people can use it.

Sharing Games:

As always, we will have several tables in Taylor Hall where people can set out the games they bring to share with others. This has never been a problem in the past, but we must issue the following disclaimer: BOGA and Hiram House Camp are not responsible for any games for any reason. Games are left out at your own risk. We recommend taking your games back to your car or your cabin overnight.

Please use this Google Sheet to list games you want to bring, or request games from other attendees: CabinCon Games List

Used Game Flea Market:

There will be table space dedicated to a Used Game Flea Market. These tables will be on the other side of Taylor Hall from the tables for sharing games and will be clearly marked. If you'd like to register to be a seller please fill out this form: Flea Market Signup

Note that all sales will be strictly between the buyer and seller. BOGA and Hiram House Camp take no responsibility for the transaction, the contents/condition of the games, or the safety of the games while on display. Buy and sell at your own risk.

Camp Rules:

No alcohol, no pets, and smoking is permitted in designated areas only.
