Bookwyrm Community Celebration

Bookwyrm Community Celebration is unfortunately going to have to postpone until a later time.

It sucks. But, it would be irresponsible in light of the latest Center for Disease Control updates to move forward with the event. As of today, March 15, the CDC is recommending that all gatherings and events nationwide be limited in size for the next 8 weeks. Sadly, Bookwyrm Community Celebration falls within this window.

However, we are still looking ahead to the future. Our hope is that things will return to a state where Bookwyrm Celebration can occur this summer instead. We will be looking at dates in July or August, but please note that everything is subject to change as we have no way of predicting how things will look that far into the future.

I really appreciate everyone's enthusiasm and excitement for this event. It was difficult and challenging to not have a traditional Bookwyrm at the library this year already, and the support for putting together an alternative event for our community really brought a lot of pride to my heart for what we've built. I'm sorry that things had to go this way, but we'll be back.

In the meantime, please be safe, wash your hands, and take care of yourselves. Your health and safety matter more than any games that we could play.
