What is AdventureCon?

We're thrilled to announce the second annual board game and tabletop convention in Northwest Arkansas, hosted by the 501c3 nonprofit organization Meeple Academy.

After a successful inaugural year in 2024 with over 350 attendees, AdventureCon is back and bigger than ever! Whether you're a seasoned tabletop veteran or newly discovered the joy of board games, AdventureCon welcomes everyone. Join us for a weekend filled with play-to-win games, board game tournaments, role-playing campaigns, large group social deduction games, exhibitors' hall, and more at this family-friendly event.

When and where is AdventureCon?

AdventureCon 2025 will be the weekend of July 11-13, 2025 at the Embassy Suites hotel in Rogers, Arkansas, between exit 82 and exit 83 on highway I-49. With its larger convention space, there will be two large opening gaming conference rooms, exhibitor booths in one of the rooms and in the hallway, and special rooms designated for events and tournaments. From Friday to Sunday, the board game convention will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m.

What are the badge types?

VIG (Very Important Gamer) Badge:

• Special VIG swag bag that includes enamel pin, board game, and surprise freebies.
• Access to full three days (Fri-Sun) of the convention: play-to-win games, game library, events, exhibitors' hall, and non-Warhammer tournaments.
• Access exclusive AdventureCon merch store.
• Early event registration.
• Limited to 75 VIG badges.
• Price: $85

Regular Attendee Badge (full weekend and single day):

• Access to the convention: play-to-win games, game library, events, exhibitors' hall, and non-Warhammer tournaments.
• Access exclusive AdventureCon merch store.
• Full weekend price: $55
• Single-day price: $25 for Friday or Saturday. $15 for Sunday.

Kids Badge (full weekend and single day):

• Ages 13 and under.
• Access to the convention: play-to-win games, game library, events, exhibitors' hall, and non-Warhammer tournaments.
• Must accompany attendee (adult) badge.
• Access exclusive AdventureCon merch store.
• Full weekend price: $30
• Single-day price (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday): $10

Warhammer Tournament Attendee:

• 40K or Age of Sigmar tournament hosted by local game store Games Explosion
• HawgHammer 40K GT: 2000 point armies, five 2.5-hour rounds, ITC and Lord Marshal's Conference points event.
• HawgHammer Age of Sigmar GT: 2000 point armies, five 3-hour rounds, points for ITC and the season opener event for the Great Plains Masters tournament circuit.
• Player packet will be linked in the BCP event for badge holders.
• Prizes for top players, overall, in super factions, best painted, army display, and surprise prizes!
• Access to full three days of the convention: play-to-win games, game library, events, and exhibitors' hall.
• Access exclusive AdventureCon merch store.
• Limited to 64 badges for each tournament.
• Price: $85

Refunds:

What events are at AdventureCon?

This board game and tabletop convention welcomes everyone of all ages and backgrounds into its fun and inclusive environment. Whether you're looking to enjoy playing games with familiar faces, make new friends, or just have a great time, AdventureCon has something for everyone.

• Open Gaming & Board Game Library: All badge holders are are encouraged to check out board games from our expansive library, with over 250 games. Classic board games, such as Trouble, Sorry, Connect 4, Candyland, Ticket to Ride, and Settlers of Catan. Strategy games, such as such as 7 Wonders, Meadow, Wingspan, Azul, Hues & Cues and new games released in 2024–2025. Check out the board game library here. Volunteers will be available to teach and play through any game.

• Play-to-Win Games: Discover a variety of specially-selected, play-to-win board games where each play gives you an opportunity to win that game to take home at the end of the convention.

• Tournaments: New this year, AdventureCon will be hosting official Warhammer 40K and Age of Sigmar tournaments with a special badge registration. Board game tournaments, such as Crokinole, Ticket to Ride, Codenames, Kabuto Sumo and board game trivia.

• Large Group Social Deduction: Two Rooms and a Boom, One Night Ultimate Werewolf (kid-friendly), Blood on the Clocktower sessions, and more where the villagers sleuth out the hidden roles before time runs out.

• Role-playing Campaigns: DMs (dungeon masters) and GMs (game masters) will host a variety of role-playing campaigns throughout the weekend, such as Dungeons & Dragons, Savage Worlds, Pathfinder, one shots, and homebrews.

• Miniature Painting: For an additional event fee and sign-ups are required, Miniature Paint-and-Take sessions will be open throughout the weekend for attendees to paint figures to take home. All supplies are included with event registration.

• Exhibitors' Hall: Comes shop at our vendors' market with renowned board game publishers, friendly local games stores (FLGS), and local artists and makers.

• Flea Market: Need more space in your overflowing shelves for games? For a small table fee, reserve your spot to sell your games to other attendees!

Want to volunteer?

We have a lot of opportunities to volunteer, from set-up/tear-down, registration, running events, greeters, board game teachers, and more. Minimum 4-hour shifts and will receive a free shirt.
