It's a Magical Bee-ch Episode!
You are all so excited for your vacation time. Life is really tough as a magical girl! Saving the world at the most inopportune moments in life. You really just want to get back to gathering honey and protecting the hive like a normal bee. Oh, that's right, you play as regular bees that can transform into magically infused bee protectors. The world you inhabit is just the normal world, so regular people and animals are eldritch horrors. Thankfully your archnemesis had been pretty quiet lately, which is giving you the chance to just finally relax. I'm sure nothing will go wrong!
In this two-page RPG, players will create their magical bees including magical abilities and group theme, then create the scenario that we will be playing in. The adventure will be 100% improvised based on your inputs and we'll see where it takes us!
For a basic rundown of the mechanics: You have 4 stats, and when you do an action that could have consequences, you combine any stats that apply and roll that many D6's. 3s and under are failures. 4s and above are successes. These cancel one another out, leaving you with a certain number of failures or successes for your result. Based on how many of these remain, you have a variety of success bands that we will go over at the table. If roll an equal amount of successes and failures, this triggers a Stinger! You gain some magical insight into the scene and roll one last die, giving you a 50/50 chance to succeed or fail at your roll. There are also Helper dice in play that may only be used once. But don't let them sit, because they play a role in the finale of the game session!
We will also be using safety tools at the table and ensure that the game is appropriate in tone to what everyone at the table agrees to.
