Barcelona is a magical city, filled with history, magnificent cathedrals, architectural wonders and so much more. Join us for a full day adventure as we explore the highlights and hidden gems of this magnificent city with professional tour guide Mariona Prats.
In the morning, we will enjoy a 3-hour walking tour of the historic old town. We will see over a dozen historical sites, including the beautiful Cathedral of the Holy Cross and St. Eulalia. Mariona will explain the fascinating history of the city and the many sites we will pass.
After enjoying lunch at an authentic Barcelona restaurant (price not included - see notes below), we will continue our adventure with Mariona as we visit the magnificent Sagrada Familia. Designed by the famous architect Antoni Gaudi, the Sagrada is nearing completion. It is truly one of the most incredible cathedrals in the world, and will leave you breathless. The visit will include both the interior and exterior of the cathedral.
This is going to be an informative and exciting adventure, one that will truly give you a great understanding and taste of Barcelona and its rich history and culture. The group size is strictly limited, so don't delay in reserving your spot!
NOTES: Following the Historic Barcelona walk in the morning, we will enjoy lunch as a group at a nearby authentic restaurant. Since we will have a group of up to 20 people, the restaurant will offer one or two select menus at a set price, which will likely be around €45 - €50 per person. You are not obligated to join us for the group lunch, but it would be best if you do since we will be able to stay together as a group and continue our adventure to the Sagrada Familia.
We will be taking public transportation (most likely the Barcelona Metro) from the Old Town to the Sagrada. The cost of the Metro ticket is NOT included in the tour price, but is generally only a few Euros. If you will be in Barcelona for a day or two, it may be wise and economical to purchase a multi-day Metro pass.
This is a private tour for members of our Spiel at Sea group. You will share the day with your fellow boardgamers!
PLEASE NOTE that we much purchase the group tickets to the Sagrada in early August and we must have an exact count of the number of people who will be in our group. So, the absolute deadline for reserving your spot for this tour is Sunday, July 26th. We will NOT be able to add any folks after that date.
