Attention all Meeple Movers – 12 hours of gaming is coming your way on April 28th!
International Tabletop Day (“ITTD”) is officially a day to celebrate worldwide, the tabletop gaming community and industry. For us, it’s a day to celebrate our love of board games, get together with friends and play some great games.
This year’s event will be held at the Courtyard Marriott, located at 3712 SW 38th Ave, Ocala, FL 34474, from 10am – 10pm. You can come anytime, play a few games, drop in and out, or stay for the whole day. A library of over 100 games will be available to play. There will be games available for purchase as well.
We’ll be posting on social media all day. We hope you’ll tag us with @MeepleMovers and use the hashtag #tabletopday.
What’s the cost for the event? There’s a per person charge, plus a small administrative fee with Tabletop.Events for processing. See pricing below. Click on the green "Buy Badges" button in the upper right page. Early registration is recommended in order to sign up for 'Play & Win' Game Contests and 'Paint & Take' (miniatures).
Are badges/tickets available at the door? We recommend purchasing badges in advance, as space is limited and we do not anticipate badges being available at the door. Badges may not be re-sold.
Do I need to bring a badge to the event? Yes. Please bring your ticket and picture ID.
How does this work? Games will be set up all day – from light-weight easy games, to the ultra-strategic, competitive, and longer heavy-weight games.
Will there be giveaways or tournaments?
What will be played? Our main library of games is available HERE, so feel free to watch the 'how to play’ videos if you see a particular game you want to try. But don’t worry – there will be teachers available all day! We’ll also have oversized-sized games such as Jenga and River Dragons set up! Attendees are welcome to bring their own games. If you have a specific larger game you want to announce a time for, let us know HERE. As always, remember we’re in a public place, so keep the games appropriate.
New to the Group? This is a perfect step in the board gaming world. Don’t sweat it – just come as you are – and we’ll get you plugged in and having fun in no time.
What’s the Food Situation? There will be a Café at the hotel that includes a bar. If nothing suits you, there are several restaurants within walking distance including Burger King, Waffle House, and Cracker Barrel. We ask that food not be brought into the game rooms. Drinks are allowed, but please be careful around the games.
Can I help? Yes! We have several volunteer spots available. If you’re interested please contact us:
What if I want to stay at the hotel? We’ve got you covered. The Courtyard Marriott has provided a limited amount of rooms for us with a special discounted rate of $119. Please use this link for the discounted rate.
What if I want to play a large game? Firefly the Game will be set up and are listed under ticketed events. There is no cost for this event, but you must register for a ticket in advance. Please come prepared to play with minimal instruction (watch videos and tutorials). These are not ‘Play and Win’ games and are being furnished by other attendees; please respect their games.
What’s a Game Trade? Gamers wishing to trade/sell/purchase a used game or accessories are welcome to do so for a one hour event at the Hero Table in the Hialeah Room. If you would like more information, please contact us.
Are there age requirements? All children under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Due to the limited space of this event, children under 6 will not be allowed.
